Condition Guide
Every device we sell is graded by iRefurb against a four-level scale. Each grade reflects the cosmetic condition of the device - not its functionality. Regardless of grade, every device is thoroughly tested by our technicians: software reset to factory settings, hardware inspected, battery capacity checked, and all functions verified.
Premium
Like new - no visible wear under any light
Our highest cosmetic grade. A Premium device has been professionally refurbished to an as-new standard. The screen, body, and camera lens are free of any marks, scratches, or blemishes - indistinguishable from a device that has never been used.
Excellent
Minimal use - very faint marks only visible up close
An Excellent device shows only the faintest signs of previous ownership. Any marks are micro-fine surface scuffs that are invisible at normal viewing distance and only perceptible when held under direct light at a sharp angle.
Good
Normal wear - light scratches visible on close inspection
A Good device has seen regular everyday use. Scratches are visible on close inspection, particularly on the back and edges, but the screen remains clear of deep marks. There are no cracks, and all functions work perfectly.
Fair
Heavy use - visible scratches and edge wear throughout
A Fair device has been well-used and shows it. Scratches on the screen, back, and edges are clearly visible, and the corners and frame may have nicks or deeper marks. Despite the cosmetic wear, the device has been fully tested and works perfectly.
